Empowering Women in Agriculture for a Resilient Africa

Women are at the heart of Africa’s agricultural productivity, accounting for upto 80% of food production in some parts of the continent. Yet, they continue to face systemic challenges, including limited access to land, credit, and technology. The African Women in Food Security Summit 2024 aims to accelerate gender equality in African food systems and promote women's leadership in building resilient, climate-smart food systems that can withstand economic shocks, conflict, and climate change.
